Why is music important to you?
Cassie: Music has been the medium that’s allowed me to express myself when I don’t have the words. It’s brought me the greatest joys in life as well as been there during my lowest of lows. It is vital to my everyday life, being able to express myself with other people’s words and sounds. As cliché as it sounds, I truly do not know where I would be without it!
What will you be listening to during your dream job day?
Cassie: I’m making a playlist that will last the whole day, but I imagine it’ll have a lot of female artists. I’ve been listening to a lot of Rina Sawayama, Caroline Polachek, Maggie Rogers, Djo, Charli XCX, MUNA, Angel Olsen, Cuco, & Steve Lacy at the moment! And haven’t been able to stop listening to Beyoncé’s new album since it came out, so I imagine some of that!

Why is music important to you?
Amiri: Music is important to me because it helps me express myself when I can’t find the words on my own. Whether I’m getting ready to go out with friends, going to the gym, or just chilling after a long day, music always finds a way to put me in the right mood. Plus it helps me connect to other people who I might not have related to in any other way.
What will you be listening to during your dream job day?
Amiri: I’ll be listening to all of the new music that came out from some of my favorite artists recently like Quavo & Takeoff, Kid Cudi, Tory Lanez, Freddy Gibbs, and Unotheactivist. I’ll also be listening to my own song called Icy Halloween under my stage name Ice Man Mir!
